
Family Partnership Expectations
Students will be able to:
- read, write, speak, and listen effectively
- solve problems, using complex thinking skills
- access knowledge using a variety of media/technology
- create artistically, physically, and intellectually
- show self control, respect for others and for the world around them
- use cooperative work skills
- set goals and follow through to meet them.
Parents sign a contract to support high expectations for:
- attendance
- rigorous homework policies
- uniform dress code
- parent attendance at required meetings and conferences
- continuous academic progress
School staff will demonstrate commitment by providing:
- A safe, “brain friendly” environment
- equity in learning, regardless of race, gender or income
- thematic, integrated instruction
- strong instructional leadership
- training in Lifelong Guidelines and Lifeskills
