Family Partnership Expectations

Students will be able to:

• read, write, speak, and listen effectively
• solve problems, using complex thinking skills
• access knowledge using a variety of media/technology
• create artistically, physically, and intellectually
• show self control, respect for others and for the world around them
• use cooperative work skills
• set goals and follow through to meet them.

Parents sign a contract to support high expectations for:

• attendance
• rigorous homework policies
• uniform dress code
• parent attendance at required meetings and conferences
• continuous academic progress

School staff will demonstrate commitment by providing:

• A safe, “brain friendly” environment
• equity in learning, regardless of race, gender or income
• thematic, integrated instruction
• strong instructional leadership
• training in Lifelong Guidelines and Lifeskills
